I recently accompanied my son on a 30 mile portion of his five-hundred mile hike on the Appalachian Trail. It brought
back all the years of clambering up and down the rocky mountain trails of my childhood, the spring fed streams and bracken fringed
paths of the brief rainy season.. I am going to paint a series of these. Again, a theme returned to after many many years.
Of course, finding spring fed streams in Manhattan may be a struggle!
I am embarking on a commission to paint famous Ukrainian Americans for the new Museum in kiev that honors expatriot Ukrainians
who have given so much to their adopted lands.
